NEW FEATURE: Post Like system!!!

At long last, we have successfully implemented a comprehensive post rating/like system. With casual readers and visitors vastly outnumbering frequent posters, it is not always apparent to users that others are reading, enjoying and grateful for their posts. If you are too shy to post and want to express your thanks, now you can!

Liking a post is easy - click this thumbs up in the top right hand corner of the post: Image

Can I encourage everyone to use this new feature enthusiastically and liberally and be sure to go back to your favourite old topics and like old posts. This will help build up useful user 'like' profiles and give credit to the users who has provided so much value to this community. This in turn helps guests and newcomers sort useful answers and posters from others.

This goes to regular forum lurkers especially - please show your appreciation with a 'like'!

  • Liked post counters in every user profile (given & received)
  • Liked post leaderboard accessible from the index and Quick Links Menu
  • Receive notifications when your post is liked, configurable from the User Control Panel (in forum notification and/or email notifications available or off)
  • You can remove a like if you made a mistake by clicking the undo button where the thumbs up used to sit (but the user will be notified)
  • Plus more

Mazda Rx Restorations [VIC]

#1 Post by Rotaless » Sun Jun 05, 2016 10:32 pm

I am looking for any worskhop that specialises in restoring Mazdas. Are there any in Victoria?

I have an Rx2 that I have lost patience with and need someone to finish it off for me before I attack it with a baseball bat.

Ideally, I would like them to do everything from mechanicals (brakes, suspension, motor etc) to panel/paint and interior retrimming... or at least project manage this. Any suggestions or recommendations?

There are lots of places that can help with individual pieces of the puzzle, but I'm not sure you'll find a single place that does everything.

Thinking about people who like to do a bit of everything....

Rick from Mazbitz in Thomastown knows his way around old Mazdas as well as anyone and does a wide range of stuff: panel, trimming and chrome and plastic restoration work. He is TRICKSTAR67 on the forum. His details are here: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=160463&start=45" onclick=";return false; (old thread so the pics have been removed from wherever they were hosted). He logs in here pretty regularly, but I reckon call him and let him know you got his details from the forum.

On the other side of the city, ACBron Motorsport can also do anything mechanical, brakes, suspension, as well as body and panel work. Adsy01 is one of the administrators of the forum so is contactable every day. Just PM him here.

Sholdnt be a problem , wherever you choose if they cant do stuff like trimming they will outsource it.

Id think they would just contact you to find out colours, material etc.
