m/t et radials mate. If you are going to be doing 1/4 mile work and street action, there is no other tyre to even bother to consider.

take them down to about 16psi at the strip and watch em grip!

did you try autobarn slacks creek? they carry a heap of tyres up there, then you wouldnt have had to pay for freight either, and they are pretty cheap generally.

I have Kumho KU36 on my SP and these have much more grip than the Hard compound Dunlop "semi slick" tires on my other set of wheels, very cheap tire too (4 x tires 17" size 255 and 235 width was $800).

yeah i have the toyo R1R's on the back of my car, rx3 with 20bt was making 490hp @ wheels & with those it hooks up really well, i had a set of falcon on there couldn't use more then half throttle, with the R1R's i'm pretty well full throttle with that power, 18 x 265 x 35, cost my $900 for pair & money well spent, more than happy with em...
they are more of a street radial look they don't look as scruffed up & stuff as the M/T ET's get

The Toyo R1R's are a circuit tyre, for drag use they grip better than a street tyre but not as good as a proper "stret legal" drag tyre like the M/T drag radials. Reason being you can't get enough heat into them quickly and they don't like the heat cycling that the quarter gives them and tend to go off earlier in their life. If you're doing straigt lines, stick with a DOT radial like the Mickey's. Remember tho, the drag tyres are a drag tyre and so have a softer compound than a street tyre. Best option would be get a 2nd pair of wheels so you can have the drag tyres on one and your street rubber on the other.
