Yeah but at 5 grand a pop i guess a few people are just sick of how much they have to spend to stay competative and have a strong engine.If the motor didnt have its weakness and could hold more without cracking you would see more cars at the track with them.i would like to make my own solid plate.

5k is nothing in the sceme of things when building a car that requires the hp of a 20b,5k for a plate that will basicly last the life of the car is cheap.very cheap. I got one a few seasons ago and it still near like new.

racing is never cheap, 5k isn't really all that much considering how much a set of competition heads cost for a V8, plus the rest.

...and what are the chances damaging that centre plate compared to other parts?

chances are slim,have to do somthing horrific to screw one, ive had some fuck ups and its still mint,though I havnt fucked any of the rest of the plates that are stock either.as long as the tune is good then stock plates wont brake

getting back to something i regularly posted, this is a small vid of the billet v8 lexus top alchy engine designed and built in WA , the crank was built in the USA but thats it, all aussie home grown.
watching the races on the weekend it may look like the new found power is really starting to over power the rear end, no doubt Paul will be onto it asap .
