NEW FEATURE: Post Like system!!!

At long last, we have successfully implemented a comprehensive post rating/like system. With casual readers and visitors vastly outnumbering frequent posters, it is not always apparent to users that others are reading, enjoying and grateful for their posts. If you are too shy to post and want to express your thanks, now you can!

Liking a post is easy - click this thumbs up in the top right hand corner of the post: Image

Can I encourage everyone to use this new feature enthusiastically and liberally and be sure to go back to your favourite old topics and like old posts. This will help build up useful user 'like' profiles and give credit to the users who has provided so much value to this community. This in turn helps guests and newcomers sort useful answers and posters from others.

This goes to regular forum lurkers especially - please show your appreciation with a 'like'!

Featuring:
  • Liked post counters in every user profile (given & received)
  • Liked post leaderboard accessible from the index and Quick Links Menu
  • Receive notifications when your post is liked, configurable from the User Control Panel (in forum notification and/or email notifications available or off)
  • You can remove a like if you made a mistake by clicking the undo button where the thumbs up used to sit (but the user will be notified)
  • Plus more

serial number doesnt like right :? read it directly off the firewall or vin plate, dont go by the import plate.

should start with JDMFC3S........
or JDM1.....
or JDMZ......

The 8th digit of the VIN is for engine type

1: N/A Model
2: Turbo Model

Massive nitpick here:

You write infini had 10% stiffer springs and lowered one inch - i have a set of infini coilovers and the springs are exactly the same (measured) and no lower - however they could be replacement springs? Not sure.

Yeah good point, however yeah yours may have been replaced, or the stiffer springs came out on the latter infini models ie: infini III and IV, what model did the set you have come from infini II?

Yeah true, i actually have no idea what model infini they are from. No way of checking other than the number stamped on the side, which probably wouldnt tell me anything. But they're red and have that cool infini symbol! I think we should just disregard my original post haha

Same case with mine. I have no letters after "FC3S" just numbers. And the 8th didgit is a 6.

How can I check exactly what model my car is? Trying to find accurate wiring diagram and tuning procedure, because nothing I can find on the net matches my car.

Great info there, I looked at a car the other and needs another wiring loom fitted. I want to find out apart from the engine and ecu wiring harness, would the rest of the harness be the same between series 4 & 5?

Just wondering if it's possible to get a list of FC3S interior colours. Cheers.

VERT FACTORY BODY MODIFICATIONS

The whole front subframe is radically stronger on the vert (in fact there are tuners in Japan that build lower subframe supports for the coupes that try and duplicate the set up).

Add in the lighter stock wheels,

Radically stronger rear side to side strut tower supports (no rear strut tower bars needed here- its built into the body).

Thicker windsheild A pillars and frame.

The built in roll bar (built into the rear top assembly- so that again the side to side rear is re-enforced weither the top is down or not).

Entire underbody frame rails are beefed up.

Floor panel vert specific

Heavy duty vert specific firewall parts

Heavy duty engine mounts

Kick panels re-enforced

Behind seats re-enforced to further prevent the body flex.

Heavy duty front stabilizer bar from the Sport/ Turbo models

Heavy duty rear stabilizer bar and bushings (vert specific)

Vert specific springs

C section (as the coupe does not even have that)
Rear upper cross section
