FYI - these are pretty rare as only the "Sport" version of the non-turbo model with no electric windows etc had them. Most N/A RX-7s had power steering. A search on here indicates only a handful of manual racks have changed hands over the past 18 years. That said, hopefully you get lucky. You might have a better chance sourcing from Japan, as I understand more cars had the manual rack there.

You can properly de-power a power steering rack, but obviously it won't have the same ratio as a proper manual rack. Another option is to use an electric power steering pump and set it for whatever minimal assistance you want.

Thanks for the advice, I have a electric pump ready to go, but changed my mind and if I can find a manual rack I will take that option.
