NEW FEATURE: Post Like system!!!

At long last, we have successfully implemented a comprehensive post rating/like system. With casual readers and visitors vastly outnumbering frequent posters, it is not always apparent to users that others are reading, enjoying and grateful for their posts. If you are too shy to post and want to express your thanks, now you can!

Liking a post is easy - click this thumbs up in the top right hand corner of the post: Image

Can I encourage everyone to use this new feature enthusiastically and liberally and be sure to go back to your favourite old topics and like old posts. This will help build up useful user 'like' profiles and give credit to the users who has provided so much value to this community. This in turn helps guests and newcomers sort useful answers and posters from others.

This goes to regular forum lurkers especially - please show your appreciation with a 'like'!

Featuring:
  • Liked post counters in every user profile (given & received)
  • Liked post leaderboard accessible from the index and Quick Links Menu
  • Receive notifications when your post is liked, configurable from the User Control Panel (in forum notification and/or email notifications available or off)
  • You can remove a like if you made a mistake by clicking the undo button where the thumbs up used to sit (but the user will be notified)
  • Plus more

Ok, so it's not a Mazda, but one of the rarest Toyotas ever made.

The Toyota 2000 GT, released in 1967, and regarded as the first Japanese Supercar with a 2000 cc inline 6.
Was more expensive than many of the top Euro sports cars of the day.

This one sold today (5/02/2015) at auction in Tokyo for 58,120,000 JPY, that's 58 million yen if you have trouble counting the zeros.

That's roughly $650,000 AUD under the hammer, plus there will be auction fees, and agents fees…so say at least $700k before you shipped it anywhere.

According to these two online sources, they say only 351 were produced.

However, this one is chassis 10431, (and an auto trans) denoting at least 431 were made, but how they were numbered back then, I've got no idea.
They could have started a new 'hundred' digit each year and this one was the 31st for 1969.
This one has done 67888 km from new.

So hang on to your nana's mint original 1979 Corolla Coupe, it might just fetch big bucks one day!

This 1976 Savanna sold at dealer only auction in Nagoya 6 March.
Sold by negotiation and price undisclosed.

Serial S124A-403786

However, car engine not working, has 13B fitted, and lived outside for sometime.

It's a bit of a mess and I feel this one will be for parting out.

^^^ I wonder if this is the same car... http://www.speedhunters.com/2013/11/kyu ... go-to-die/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; :-k
I sent an email about the car last year and the reply I got was "Watanabes for sale, not the car".

Same car, same missing bit on the lower savanna lip, turned the rust holes into pink primer patches.

Passing on link to my skyline mate :-({|=

Hard to believe there was more than one in this color, unless someone had a pink mica paint fetish.

The speed hunters site shows it was solid red behind the number plate, whereas the auction shot isn't so clear in this area.

The auction location in Nagoya is in Aichi prefecture, so very close to the cemetery.

Have to keep an eye on Yahoo to see if a load of parts start to appear.

I think he has the year model wrong.

You never know it could be a series 1 with a nose cone change or just a early series 2 car with a few changes.

Nice car any way you look at it just wonder whats under the paint.

This is the same guy that has previously sold a JDM RX2 coupe, GS Familia and savanna sedan on ebay in the last 5 years he had a great collection.
