Crispeed, I just checked out your website and your Rx3 is really impressive.

Could you give us all some info on your engine setup?
You look like your running a convential PP, what size are the ports, Tb's and what is your maximum RPM?

I imagine you use rx8 rotors also?

The alternative in a big HP N/A rotary is what?

Apart from the slight trouble in machining the correct apex seals to fit, I can't see why the wouldn't be a big asset.
Considerably lighter, stronger, better balanced and higher compression. Oh and aren't they cheaper as well?

I am not being a smart ass, as I would never argue with the results Crispeed has shown, but what exactly is the downside?

Some of our and other racers findings-->
#1 They cannot be lighten as much as earlier rotors.
#2 They are not stronger.
#3 Any rotor can be balanced.
#4 Higher compression does not make up for side seal sealing issues. I've yet to see a RX-8 motor make more compression than a properly built earlier motor.
#5 They use to be cheap. Not any more.

very hard to tell but i put my vote in for it being real.

how much power is the yellow engine bayed car makin, the intake is very impressive indeed, the plenum is a lot like a phil laird manifold.

Originally done for lightening but there would also be some level of decompression. Whether or not you want it forcing onto the side seal is another thing though :?

Mainly done for increasing port timing or duration. Depending on chamfer position the port will open earlier and close later.
Even the present RX-8 rotors have it done to a lesser extent mainly for closing the port later.
Works very good especially in boosted applications! :)
